An unknown man passed away….

An unknown man passed away after he was involved in an accident near Havre on Friday. According to officials, the man was driving a Ford Taurus northbound on Hwy 87 when the vehicle drifted into the oncoming lane. The driver of the other vehicle tried to swerve out of the way, but unfortunately the vehicles collided head-on. The man driving the Taurus was pronounced dead at the scene. The man of the other vehicle was taken to Northern Montana Hospital in Havre with unknown injuries.More

Hannah Medicine Bull, 22 and Lisa Burns, 24

Hannah Medicine Bull, 22 and Lisa Burns, 24 passed away Friday morning when their vehicle collided with a tractor-trailer outside of Ashland. The vehicle was eatbound on Hwy 212 when the driver lost control and skidded into the oncoming lane and collided with the tractor-trailer. The highway was snowpacked and speed was said to be a factor.More

Echo LaForge, 16 of Crow Agency died

Echo LaForge, 16 of Crow Agency died Friday morning after the vehicle she was a passenger in crashed near Dunmore.  According to officials, the road was snow packed and icy at the time of the crash.  The 15-year-old boy that was driving went to pass another vehicle and lost control and skidded across the median and rolled.  LaForge was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.  Speed was a factor in the crash.

Driver got distracted and drifted off the road

Arlene Rock, 20 of Lodge Grass died in the early morning hours of Friday near Lodge Grass.  According to officials, the vehicle was driving southbound when the driver got distracted and drifted off the road.  The driver apparently over-corrected and the vehicle skidded off the road to the left shoulder.  The vehicle hit an irrigation bank, flew in the air and rolled; Rock was ejected from the vehicle out the back window.  She was pronounced dead at the scene.  There were three other people in the vehicle that were injured.  Alcohol and speed were a factor in the accident.More

Brice Adamson, 20 of Pablo died…

Brice Adamson, 20 of Pablo died Saturday afternoon after he lost control of his vehicle. Adamson was driving at high speed going south on Skyline Drive near Pablo when he lost control as he was going over a canal bridge. The vehicle swerved off the bridge rolling several times into an irrigation ditch. Adamson was the only passenger and he was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident, which caused him to be ejected from the vehicle and was trapped underneath it.More

$2,505,000 verdict in motor vehicle collision.

A jury found that Patrol Helicopters was negligent and caused the motor vehicle collision that killed Theresa Messick and Joan Bowman, and severely injured Thomas Messick. The driver, Darrell Bowman was found to not be the cause of the accident. Mr. Bowman testified that he was driving the speed limit of 70 mph. The jury awarded $330,000 to Thomas, $800,000 to Theresa’s estate and $925,000 to Joan’s estate and $450,000 for her survival claim.

Brock Philip Mason, 19 was injured in a serious vehicle accident.

Brock Philip Mason, 19 was injured in a serious vehicle accident and was sent to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, WA. Mason was heading eastbound when his car was struck head-on by a vehicle driven by Jeremy Stiles that was traveling in the opposite direction. It is believed that Stiles may have fallen asleep and drifted into the other lane. Both drivers were trapped in their vehicles for over an hour. Both drivers were traveling approximately 60-65 mph. Stiles was taken to Deaconess Medical Center in Bozeman with minor injuries and was later released. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts.

Around two hours after the accident, a driver headed west smashed into the back a police vehicle that was parked at the scene of the above-referenced accident. The driver of the vehicle Michael Lucas Stroyan, 59 was charged with DUI and driving without insurance. Capt. Tom Butler of the MT Highway Patrol was quoted saying, “This is just another prime example of an uninsured driver causing significant property damage and costing the taxpayers a significant amount of money.”

A sixteen year old girl from Corvallis passed away Saturday night due to a three-vehicle accident on Hwy 93 near Corvallis. The 19 year old driver of the vehicle was driving South on Hwy 93 and attempted to turn left, as he was turning he collided with a Dodge Durango that was headed north on Hwy 93. The impact of the crash sent the vehicle flying into a parked Honda and as a result of the impact the 16 year old girl died. There were a total of 7 people in the accident between three different vehicles. The other people involved were taken to Marcus Daly Hospital in Hamilton.

Truck Accident

A semi-truck carrying a load of peat moss from Canada overturned at the Interstate 90 and Interstate 15 interchange west of Butte. The driver was traveling too fast around a corner on the ramp and lost control of the truck causing it to roll on its side. The driver was taken to St. James Healthcare for minor injuries.
